When the leadership team of Hubbard Hill Living Wisdom Community asked “what if” they offered a different type of care for people with dementia, DJ Construction was able to help craft a new model for memory care. The 50,420-square-foot facility has a glass conservatory that approximates the outdoors and four distinct households built in Farmhouse, Craftsman, Tudor and Colonial styles. Each household has nine beds, as well common areas where residents can share meals and other aspects of daily life. Each day at the Living Wisdom Center, residents build relationships, feel loved and valued, and wake up knowing that they are not only part of a community, but members of a family.
