DJ Construction as a company feels a special connection with all of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County because of how much this organization has committed to being a force for good in the lives of the youth in our area for more than 65 years. It is a mission that DJ Construction is committed to as well, and backs whole heartedly. That’s why we were thrilled to work on yet another location for their programs that fit their members’ diverse interests, including academic support, creative arts, and a number of different sports. 

DJ Construction went into this project knowing that the Boys & Girls Club of Napanee would be located in a neighborhood where the greatest need existed. Since they are open when kids need them most – after school, on most school breaks, and all day during the summer – DJ wanted to pay special attention to the building of the facility with that in mind. 

The new facility boasts two games rooms for elementary aged members, a dedicated art space, a cafeteria with a commercial grade kitchen, a learning center, a full size gym, and two teen centers. Until this building was constructed, the club improvised by using the former central school which was shared with other organizations. Space was limited as the number of club members continued to grow. Efforts to build the new “stand-alone” boys and girls club were over 20 years in the making and included many individuals, groups and organizations. DJ Construction is proud to have been a key part of this project!
