ELKHART – September 26, 2016— Representatives of Kem Krest and DJ Construction gathered Monday morning to break ground on a new warehouse and distribution center across the street from Kem Krest’s current facility on Magnum Drive in Elkhart.
Pete Garber, DJ Construction Pre-Construction/Project Manager, said the near 200,000 sq. ft. building will include a 24-bay truck dock with the ability to expand to 32 bays.
This marks the third partnership for Kem Krest and DJ in the last three years. Previous projects include a new 52,000 sq. ft. addition to Kem Krest’s Bristol warehouse in 2015 and a 26,000 sq. ft. addition in Elkhart in 2014.
Bob Schrock, DJ CEO, remarked “We are extremely happy and proud to again be partnering with Kem Krest on this major project. Being part of their rapid growth is truly an honor. In addition to the building projects we have done together, we also enjoy our partnership with them in providing opportunities for the youth of Elkhart County.”
Estimated completion of this new facility is Spring 2017.
