Residence Life Goes On Amidst Renovation
Renovation of sixty-four resident rooms, along with a chapel and two sitting areas, are nearing completion at the Sanctuary at Holy Cross.
The challenge, according to DJ Construction’s Adam Tohulka, has been to execute the renovation with as little interruption as possible to everyday residence life.
“We are trying to make the least impact and interference as possible to the people who live there,” said Tohulka.
As the renovation nears the completion, a noticeable impact will be made in the appearance of the facility. New flooring, paint, handrails, corner guards, and other décor have been added. The two former nurses’ stations have been renovated into lounge areas for the residents.
The project was capped with a new roof.
