Interra Credit Union – Shipshewana Opens
June 27, 2014
A twelfth Interra Credit Union office, the second in LaGrange County, opened its doors Thursday, June 26, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house.
The new location is in Shipshewana, just north of E&S Sales, on Berkshire Drive.
DJ Construction, Goshen, served as the general contractor for the project.
Sanford Miller, vice president at Interra, said at the ribbon-cutting ceremony he’s excited to serve existing and new members with the new convenient location.
“We are excited to provide another convenient location to serve our existing members and to develop new relationships in the Shipshewana area,” said Miller.
The 3,500-square foot facility includes a lobby, teller and offices areas, safe deposit boxes, drive-up lanes, ATM and night depository. Credit union members are provided with a full range of financial services such as checking, savings, consumer, business and agricultural loans; and a suite of electronic services, in addition to other related products and services.
Doug Wogoman, President of DJ Construction, said the builder has partnered with Interra Credit Union on the building of the main branch in Goshen as well as six previous branches throughout Elkhart County.
“We at DJ are grateful not only for the construction of the Shipshewana branch, but for a great history of working with Interra and the relationships we’ve cultivated along the way. We appreciate all that Interra does in serving its members, and it’s great to partner with them as they grow in the community of Shipshewana.”
