Three from DJ Construction Attend NACDB Conference
GOSHEN – October 9, 2014—DJ Construction Company’s CEO Bob Schrock, Certified Church Consultant & Manager of Project Development Enos Yoder, and Matt Schrock of Business Development, all attended the National Association of Church Design Builders annual Conference September 23 in Arlington, Texas.
The purpose of the conference is to provide members the opportunity to stay connected with peers as well as gain firsthand insight to church ministry and facility trends.
Yoder said the time at the conference reinforced the idea that as church design builders, “we at DJ are decidedly different because it is truly our desire stay up-to-date on the latest national trends and then help local churches apply what’s appropriate for them.”
Bob Schrock said he learned “66% of all churches are renting space, and it’s not as easy for church plants to meet in schools as it once was. Renovating big boxes is an attractive option as opposed to building new.”
While in the Dallas area, the three also visited the office of friend and colleague contractor WB Kibler “to share a few ideas from their president, Ed Portier,” said Schrock.
